‘Chehre’ is a mystery drama and continues to face some competition from Akshay Kumar’s spy film ‘Bell Bottom’, which is currently in its second week of release. Previous reports suggested that ‘Chehre’ may release on OTT, but the makers decided against it and opted for a traditional theatrical release. Apart from Amitabh Bachchan and Emraan Hashmi, the film also stars Krystle D’Souza, Rhea Chakraborty, Siddhanth Kapoor and Annu Kapoor in pivotal roles.
Post the release of ‘Chehre’. Rumu Jafry is now planning to revive a film which he had planned with late Sushant Singh Rajput. Speaking about the same, Rumy told ETimes, “Now that ‘Chehre’ is out there, I found the opportunity to pull out the script I wrote for Sushant and I read it. Now I have to decide with whom to make the film and when to make it. You know, each time I looked at the script it reminded me of Sushant, so I used to put it back on the shelf. It has been over a year now and it was his favourite script, so I will surely make it.’’
