Emuobonuvie ‘Neo’ Akpofure, the former Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) reality show housemate, has revealed he was molested at the age of seven.
The 2020 BBNaija housemate, in a chat with Toke Makinwa, anchor of the Blue Zone podcast, opened up about his ugly childhood ordeal.
The TV star said he felt helpless when the lady “asked me to put my head down there” — referring to her private parts.
“I was molested when I was like six or seven. I remember vividly very well. There was a day I got back from school. My mum was so busy during that period. My mum was a warder. My sister was up and about,” he recalled.
“I got back from school. So, it was just me at home. There was this other girl. She was a caretaker for the next building. So normally I just obviously know how to make my noodles. Just throw it in. Throw in the spices, and water and just put it on the stove. And she was the one that is always supposed to give me the key to the house. Obviously, there will be no one at home. I was in something like primary two.
“I remember that day. She would always help me turn on the stove. So, she went with me into the kitchen because that’s where it happened. And the next thing she was just like. How are you? You’re back from school. Oya take off your shirt. I took off my singlet and she was just locking the back door. She just sat and she just asked me to come. She just put my head down there.
“I didn’t just know what to do. Let’s skip that. It is what it is.”
