Khuli Chana Reveals That Lamiez Is Responsible For His Comeback

Khuli Chana, a rapper, has said that his wife, Lamiez Holworthy, helped him get his head back in the game and pick himself up.
Khuli Chana, a rapper from Motswako, stopped making music for two years, and that was when he lost his edge. He said that Lamiez helped him get his new life.

“Oh man, it’s like being reborn. And also having somebody that reminds you or that reintroduces you to yourself,” he told Maps Maponyane on his YouTube show, Mzansi Icons.

He gushed over how his wife Lamez had a positive impact on his life in general as well as his career.

“My wife had a great impact on this comeback. First, just the reinvention. I’m blessed with a loving woman — somebody who gets a kick out of making her man shine. And that’s how I grew my confidence back,” the rapper added.

Just recently Lamiez took home two awards at the Basadi in Music Awards (BIMA) which took place on October 15. Her accolades include a DJ of the Year award and Music TV Presenter of the Year award.

Being someone who is just as proud of his significant other, Khuli gushed over Lamiez.

“Congratulations to my wife, my homie, stocko saka and friend @lamiez_holworthy it’s so fulfilling to witness all your hard work paying off, watching you grow inspires me. Well deserved,” he said.

Lamiez and Khuli enjoy 4 years together and are both raising Khuli’s daughter from a previous relationship.

Lamiez once took it back to the very first time they met.

“Honestly didn’t know that gifts on 1st dates were a thing till I met my guy. On our 1st, he got me a bunch of yellow tulips which are my favs and I had obviously mentioned in a random convo before along with a Mickey Mouse teddy bear (obsessed) and a book I mentioned I couldn’t find,” she shared.

On her Basadi win, Lamiez had her mother to thank. “It took me 12 years… 12 whole years to build my brand. 12 years that weren’t always the easiest and truth is,I owe both awards to my mother. My mom who believed in me when this was all just a dream, who took money meant to pay the electricity bill and bought me headphones when I just started out(this meant that my family had to sit in the dark a little longer),” said Lamiez.

“My mom who drove me to gigs with my late dad in a SECURITY VAN because we didn’t have another car at home at the time. My mom who’d spend her last on printing and wearing T-shirts with my name and Logo on it because she believed in me that much. My mom whose been my manager since day 1,” she said.
