1 Magic’s well known telenovela The River and boxing film Knuckle City tidied up at the 2020 South African Film and Television Awards (SAFTAs). The telenovela gathered up 10 honors while the film packed away 6.

Among its honors, The River won best telenovela, best accomplishment in screenwriting, best entertainer for Sindi Dlathu, best-supporting on-screen character, best accomplishment in coordinating and best accomplishment.
