On his wife Gugu Khathi’s special day, DJ Tira gushes over her. Despite recent breakup rumors, the pair has been together for 18 years and is still going strong.
DJ Tira congratulated her on her birthday for always having his support and being there for him.

It was recently believed that she and Tira were getting divorced. In an interview with TshisaLive, she rejected the charges. People believed there was problems in paradise, she told the publication, because she arrived late to the South African Music Awards (SAMAs).
“We are still fine, we are still happy. I don’t know where they’d get that from. Maybe it was because I was late to the SAMAs. There is nothing there. I don’t think we have issues that could be putting us in a situation where we’re even considering [divorce]. So, no. I don’t know what they thought they saw, but I bet it was because I was late at the SAMAs and someone spotted something,” she said as quoted by the blog.
She said they Iive apart but are still very much connected.
“We are still very much happily in love and happily married. We’ve never stayed in the same house. I stay in Joburg, he stays in Durban and it’s always been like that. He comes to Joburg to our home where our kids are, because I work in Joburg full time … we’ve always had a home in Joburg and we’ve always had homes in Durban, so nothing has changed,” she reiterated.
DJ Tira also had to fight off rumors that he was engaged in extra marital affairs with the Qwabe twins.
Speaking to Isolezwe, DJ Tira said he doesn’t care about what people think. “There are many painful things said by people on social media, one can’t conform with them What you can do is to live your life in a way that is better for you,” said Tira.
Viggy, one of the twins told the publication that they will not have their bodies touched by men. “Because we know what we want and where we are going, we always write down our desires. We write down that our bodies will never be touched by men.”
